And I am an unapologetic homebody.
a person who likes to stay at home, especially one who is perceived as unadventurous.
At least, that is what I am some of the time. I do love (more than anything) hanging out at home…but I also like to leave. And I am, at the very least, moderately adventurous. For starters, I live in China and eat street food on a fairly regular basis. That qualifies as moderately adventurous, right?
The thing is that I LOVE homes…I love decorating them, pretending like I can afford to buy them and drinking wine in them. I love when homes are full; of friends, family, sweet vintage furniture, colorful art, vibrant music, playful dogs but, most importantly, love. And I love the challenge and process of making a home feel like, well, home. Even when you live very far away from anything that remotely resembles “home”.
This blog is about my home and those that live in it: me, my amazing hubby Brado, our cute little kiddos Beau and Finley and our aggressively territorial Chinese street dog, Ona Bear.
It is about trying to navigate life and its many back roads: motherhood, life abroad, wifehood(?) and aging (accckkk!). It is about documenting the very mundane and the occasionally exotic. But mostly it is about becoming better. Basically, think of it like a home (and body and soul) improvement blog.
I’m so happy you found your way here!
